The Beginning of an Odyssey.

Each animal plays a critical role in maintaining our oceans. From the smallest life to the largest, humanity depends on the
contribution of life smaller than a grain of rice.
People have grown fearful of surrounding themselves with nature. In my opinion, this fear is a direct reason of why we as a people have grown so divided. It is my mission to bring people together, to overcome a fear that, however trivial, is so effective at highlighting the differences between us.
Once this fear has been overcome, the individual is stripped of the armor we wear to protect ourselves from the unknown. What's left is curiosity. And curiosity is the common language.
When you spend time with a creature that lives its existence in a world most people will never see, something shifts. You stop measuring it by how dangerous it looks or how strange it seems. You start noticing the quiet competence of a shrimp cleaning a fish, the patience of a flounder disappearing into sand, the stubborn resilience of a coral polyp building a city over decades. Each of these individual personalities holds together entire oceans, and extension, the world.
My goal is simple, to bring these animals into the open. To give them names and stories so that when someone looks at the water they no longer feel fear, but a curiosity of what stories are being told, under the waves, silent and everlasting.
